📢 2025 Alert: U.S. Ends De Minimis Exemption for Chinese Imports

🚨 2025 U.S. De Minimis Rule Changes: What Dropshippers Need to Know

  • 📦 De Minimis Exemption Eliminated: As of May 2, 2025, the $800 duty-free threshold for imports from China and Hong Kong has been removed.
  • 💰 New Duties Imposed: Shipments are now subject to a 30% duty or a flat fee of $25 per item, increasing to $50 after June 1, 2025.
  • ⏱️ Longer Shipping Times: Expect delays due to stricter customs inspections and additional documentation requirements.
  • 📉 Impact on Profit Margins: Increased costs may reduce profitability for dropshippers relying on low-cost Chinese imports.
  • 🔄 Strategic Adjustments Needed: Consider sourcing from local suppliers, adjusting pricing models, and enhancing customer communication to adapt.

Stay informed and proactive to navigate these changes effectively.

As of May 2, 2025, the U.S. government has officially eliminated the de minimis exemption for goods imported from China and Hong Kong.

Previously, this exemption allowed shipments valued under $800 to enter the U.S. duty-free, which was a significant advantage for dropshippers sourcing inexpensive products from platforms like AliExpress.

Now, all parcels, regardless of value, are subject to import duties and stricter customs enforcement.

Impact on Dropshipping Businesses

  1. Increased Costs: With the removal of the de minimis exemption, even low-cost items are now subject to significant import duties. For example, a product previously costing $10 could now incur an additional $25 to $50 in duties, effectively tripling its cost.
  2. Longer Shipping Times: Stricter customs inspections and additional documentation requirements have led to delays in delivery times. Shipments that previously took 8–10 days may now take 24–28 days, affecting customer satisfaction.
  3. Compliance Challenges: Dropshippers must now navigate more complex customs procedures, including providing detailed shipment information and ensuring product compliance with U.S. safety standards. This includes submitting certificates of safety compliance at the port of entry.

Strategic Recommendations for Dropshippers

Shift to Local Suppliers: Consider sourcing products from U.S.-based suppliers to avoid import duties and reduce shipping times.

  • Adjust Pricing Models: Reevaluate pricing strategies to account for increased costs due to tariffs and duties.
  • Enhance Customer Communication: Clearly communicate potential delays and cost changes to customers to manage expectations and maintain trust.
  • Explore Alternative Markets: Focus on markets outside the U.S. that may not have similar import restrictions, such as Canada, Australia, or the EU.
  • Utilize Local Warehouses: Leverage AliExpress’s “Local Shipping” options to fulfill orders from domestic warehouses, reducing shipping times and avoiding international duties

How Long Do Orders From AliExpress Take To Ship?

The average shipping time for standard AliExpress packages is between 15 and 30 days. In some cases, the shipping times take up to 60 days.

Also, the delivery time of an AliExpress package depends on multiple factors, such as the shipping methods suppliers use, the shipping and destination countries, and other variables.

👉 Read my Aliexpress Dropshipping Review: Is AliExpress Good For Dropshipping?

So, let’s check out these two examples. I tried to order a hairpin for myself and checked on the same product with two different suppliers.

Hence, the one offered free shipping for orders over $10, but the estimated delivery time was 10-15 days.

On the other hand, supplier No. 2 offered multiple shipping methods with faster shipping times. Hence, the shipping times were even short, such as 7-10 days, but the delivery cost was insane! Check this out.

As you can see, the AliExpress shipping times in these cases mostly depend on supplier shipping methods and the customer’s destination.

In addition, some of the fastest shipping methods on Aliexpress are DHL, UPS, and FedEx. However, the shipping costs are high.

Is It Really Possible To Reduce AliExpress Shipping Times?

Shipping times with AliExpress are not fixed, which means there are ways to expedite delivery and reduce shipping time for customer orders.

So, whether is contacting the supplier or doing it by yourself with some tips and tricks, it is possible. So, let’s see how to reduce AliExpress shipping times.

💡 IDEA: Want to Dropshipping from AliExpress to eBay? I got you.

9 Ways To Reduce AliExpress Shipping Times in 2025

🚚 9 Ways To Reduce AliExpress Shipping Times (2025)

Use tools like Alitools to compare delivery times. Pick suppliers that offer 5–15 day options affordably.
Use the Up Assistant extension to spot processing delays. Aim for 1–3 days before shipping.
Filter results by “Ship from” your customer’s country to get 3–7 day delivery.
Order from multiple suppliers to check delivery speed and product quality before choosing one.
Build supplier relationships and ask them to create VIP pages for faster shipping and bulk discounts.
Customer reviews reveal true shipping times and product photos — use them to avoid delays.
Pay extra for DHL, FedEx, or YunExpress — usually arrives in 7–15 days.
Use the “Ship From” filter to prioritize local or faster regional options.
Use the top menu’s “Local Shipping” tab to view nearby products with fast 3–7 day delivery.
Add shipping times on product pages and email updates. Underpromise, overdeliver = happy customers!

As I have already said, it is actually possible to speed up delivery times when dropshipping with AliExpress. Keep reading to find out how to do that.

1. Select Suppliers That Offers Fast Shipping Methods

AliExpress dropshipping suppliers provide a range of shipping methods with different prices and speeds. Plus, as I can conclude from the example above, most of the suppliers offer inexpensive but slow shipping, while others offer fast but more expensive deliveries.

As you do not have control over the fulfillment and shipping process, you cannot select the shipping method yourself. In fact, you can only choose from the ones that this supplier has offered.

Like the one in the picture belowhence, this supplier offers various shipping methods, and all of them come with different shipping costs and times. But, as long as I can see, the lower the shipping time, the higher the cost is. 👇

However, I will not recommend it, since the costs are very high, and the product I selected is a fitness set with a top and leggings, and it costs around $20.

So, it would be wise to choose a supplier that offers fast yet affordable shipping methods. This is a good way to reduce AliExpress shipping times.

For example, I personally use the Alitools Shopping Assistant. This AliExpress extension helps me check on suppliers' shipping times and the options they offer. This way, I can make a more informed decision.

👉 Check out the Top 11 Dropshipping AliExpress Chrome Extensions.

Also, I advise you to choose reputable suppliers like Zendrop that integrate with the platform and import products from AliExpress.

2. Pay Attention To Processing Times

Another way to reduce AliExpress shipping times is to pay attention to the processing times offered by dropshipping suppliers. Just to clarify, there is a difference between shipping and processing times.

Processing time is the turnaround time for a supplier to process an order. In other words, it is the time period when you place the order with your dropshipping supplier and they prepare that order for shipment.

Hence, I just placed an order for my hairpin. Thus, this notification at the bottom is actually the processing time, which is 10 days. 👇

However, I have more experience with even longer processing times, like 48-72 days.

On the other hand, shipping time is the time it takes a shipped order to reach its final destination. Here you can see how this looks once your order is approved by the supplier.

💡 Ultimate guide: What Does Shipped Mean In Dropshipping?

Now let’s get back to the point. Different AliExpress dropshipping suppliers offer different processing times. The average processing time is anywhere between 2-3 days.

Total delivery time = Processing time + Shipping time

Let me give an example. If the estimated shipping time of a product is about 15 days and the processing time is 3 days, your customer will receive that product within about 18 days.

As you can see, the shorter the processing time, the faster the total delivery time. Therefore, you should check the processing times to figure out how long it takes for AliExpress suppliers to process orders.

But how can you do that? For this purpose, I use the Up Assistant extension, and I can check on each supplier's rating and details.

That's how I usually find information about their processing time. Because otherwise, it cannot be viewed before placing an order.

3. Partner With Suppliers That Have Warehouses In Your Target Country

Yes, that's right! Even with AliExpress dropshipping, you can work with suppliers that have warehouses in your target country.

In fact, the majority of AliExpress dropshipping suppliers are based in China. However, some suppliers store their products in warehouses outside of China, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, France, Canada, etc.

In case you want to provide faster shipping times, it is a good idea to filter products by a warehouse location that’s closer to your customers.

To illustrate, let's say that your target audience is from the US, and you want suppliers based in the US. So, to find a supplier with a warehouse in a specific country, you need to sort by “ship from”.

And, this is probably the best way to reduce AliExpress shipping times.

4. Order Test Products

Ordering test products from multiple suppliers is a great way to validate the shipping and processing times. Not only that, but this way you can ensure the product quality and whether the product matches the description. So, you kill two flies with one move!

💡 Tip: Discover the 9 Reasons About Why Is AliExpress So Cheap [Truth Revealed]

One more thing that I want to mention here is that you can also order the same product from several AliExpress suppliers to identify the one with the fastest shipping times.

And, I also advise you to partner with that supplier because this way, you will make sure that your products get to your customers on time.

💡 Tip: Discover the Dropshipping Product Research Tools: How To Find Winning Products In 2025?

5. Try To Find “VIP” Listings For Your Dropshipping Products

AliExpress dropshipping suppliers tend to make VIP listings for loyal customers or dropshippers and give their orders a higher priority.

As a result, you can get shorter processing times and your customers will receive their orders faster. In some cases, suppliers will also ship your products directly to your customers using special shipping methods like 4PX or YunExpress.

But faster shipping is not the only benefit of these VIP listings. VIP listings also allow you to buy AliExpress products at lower prices. Also, it is important to know that if you have been working with an AliExpress dropshipping supplier for a long time, you can ask them to create a VIP page for you.

6. Check On Supplier's Customer Feedback & Rating

Customers trust customers. Don't you? I always check on customers' feedback and rating on AliExpress.

Hence, I read all the positive and negative comments. This way, I find valuable information about shipping times, processing times, product quality, and more. Plus, I can even see photos of the products that customers receive.

For instance, now while I was making a decision to buy my hairpin, I searched through multiple product pages with products from different suppliers. And, guess what? If I didn't do that and chosen the first one, I would have screwed it up big time.

Thanks to the product reviews by customers, I could see their customer service, product quality, and check on the delivery times. This way, I made a better decision.

7. Use AliExpress Premium Shipping

With AliExpress Premium Shipping, your packages are sent using top-notch and trustworthy delivery services.

Big names in shipping like DHL, FedEx, UPS, and Speedaf take care of your orders. These companies are celebrated for their quick and global delivery capabilities, making sure your items arrive on time and in good condition.

This service aims to make shipping smooth and trouble-free for buyers. However, it's good to remember that choosing Premium Shipping might mean paying extra fees, like customs duties, based on where the product comes from and where it's going.

From what I've seen, AliExpress Premium Shipping usually gets your items to you in 7-15 days. This means you could have your order in just a week or two, which is much faster compared to the standard shipping option on AliExpress.

8. Sort Products by Shipping Country on AliExpress

Sorting by shipping country on AliExpress is simple and can help you find items that ship directly to your location. So, this can really help you reduce AliExpress Shipping times.

Just enter your desired item in the search bar, then select the 'Ship from' option to view available shipping countries.

If a product you want can’t be shipped to your country, consider reaching out to the seller via the contact chat to inquire if they’d be open to arranging shipping for you.

Moreover, you can also add filters like free shipping, best match, or fast delivery can help you save money and get your items faster.

The 'Ship from' feature is especially useful if you’re looking for specific items, like a phone charger, and need to make sure it ships to your country or even to a friend’s location.

9. Use The “Local Shipping” Category on AliExpress

The “Local Shipping” tab in AliExpress’s top menu is a dedicated section that only displays products stocked in local warehouses near your location (e.g., US, UK, EU countries).

It’s no longer just a filter — it’s a full category you can browse for faster deliveries.

🚚 Why Use the Local Shipping Category?

  • Faster Delivery (3–7 Days): Products ship directly from domestic warehouses, skipping international transit and customs.
  • Free or Low-Cost Shipping: Many products offer free shipping within your region.
  • Lower Return Risk: Local warehouse items often come with better return policies and local support.
  • Exclusive Local Deals: This category includes discounts like $60–$120 OFF, as seen in your second screenshot.

🛒 How to Use It:

  1. Go to AliExpress.
  2. Click on the “Local Shipping” tab in the top navigation bar.
  3. Browse or search within this category for items that are already in your country.
  4. Extra Tips About AliExpress Shipping Times

Now that you know how to reduce the shipping time with AliExpress, it is time to put a few additional tips into practice.

🔸 Let your customers know how long shipping takes

Transparency in the shipping process enhances the overall satisfaction of your customers. So, give your customers clear information about the shipping time.

You can do so by creating a Shipping Policy and adding shipping info to every product page at the bottom of the product description. This can help them estimate their wait time and decrease their anxiety level triggered by the uncertainty of the situation.

And sometimes, it is better to implement a strategy called “underpromise and overdeliver”. That way, you will do more than you originally said you would do, thus exceeding the expectations of your customers.

Let’s suppose your customer expects to receive their order within about 10 days and their package arrives a day earlier. If they end up waiting just 9 days rather than 10, they will feel happier as they expected to wait longer.

🔸 Provide great customer service and keep your customers updated on the shipping process

If you have a clear Shipping Policy, your customers will be less likely to get nervous and ask you where their product is. However, it could still happen.

That’s why you need to provide great customer service for dropshipping and keep your customers updated on the shipping process.

Therefore, I suggest you include multiple customer touchpoints regarding the AliExpress messaging. For example, you can use phone calls, live chat, and email marketing.

For instance, email marketing can be another way for customers to communicate with you. Plus, you can even send a newsletter to loyal customers and inform them about promotions, discounts, new arrivals, etc.

When it comes to shipping products from AliExpress, there are several shipping methods available to choose from. Let's see what I got for you!

1. AliExpress Standard Shipping (Default Option)

This is the go-to shipping method for most international orders.

Powered by Cainiao (Alibaba’s logistics division), this method often hands off the package to local postal services for final delivery.

In 2025, delivery typically takes 15–30 days, though delays to remote areas can stretch that to 40–45 days.

Includes tracking
Affordable and widely supported
💡 Best balance between cost and speed — great for global dropshipping.

For example, a package to the US or UK often arrives in about 3 weeks.

2. AliExpress Premium Shipping

Need faster delivery? This is a step up. Premium Shipping relies on air freight and faster courier services.

In 2025, you can expect delivery in 5–10 business days, or 1–2 weeks total.

Reliable tracking
Ideal for urgent or high-value items
Higher cost, but worth it when time matters.

Some buyers receive their orders in under 7 days, depending on the destination.

💡 Tip: Learn about AliExpress Premium Shipping: The Key to Get Your Orders on Time.

3. ePacket Shipping method

ePacket is still popular for small, lightweight parcels and offers a great mix of speed and affordability.

Delivery to the US is usually 7–20 days, and other countries receive packages in 7–30 days.

Comes with tracking
Faster than standard China Post options
Limitations: Items must be under 2 kg and valued below $400.

It is Perfect for small electronics, accessories, and other light products.

One of the key advantages of ePacket is its faster delivery time. It typically takes up to 2 weeks for products to be delivered to the US, which is significantly faster than the standard shipping option.

This is due to the fact that ePacket utilizes a combination of postal services in both the country of origin and the destination country, along with private couriers, to ensure speedy delivery.

Another great feature of ePacket is parcel tracking. Buyers can easily monitor the progress of their packages using a unique tracking number provided by the seller.

4. Cainiao Super Economy (and Variants)

This is the cheapest shipping tier, but it comes at the cost of time and tracking.

  • Cainiao Super Economy: 30–50 days average (no tracking)
  • Special Goods Variant: 20–40 days, includes tracking for items like batteries
  • Cainiao Expedited Standard: Slightly faster at 20–40 days, with tracking

⚠️ Best only for ultra-cheap products or customers who don’t mind waiting 1–2 months.
❌ Lack of tracking often causes customer trust issues and refund claims.

5. SunYou Economic Air Mail

SunYou is another ultra-budget option, but with long wait times and no tracking. Expect 6–8 weeks delivery (40–60 days on average).

❌ No tracking
❌ Long wait = poor customer experience
Only use this if the product is extremely low-cost and delays are clearly communicated.

6. China Post Air Mail / Air Parcel

China Post is widely used and more reliable than Cainiao or SunYou. If registered, it includes tracking and offers a moderate speed: 7–30 days (often around 20–40 days in practice).

✅ Reliable and trackable when registered
❌ Too slow if untracked (expect 45+ days)
If ePacket or AliExpress Standard aren't available, this is a reasonable backup — just set expectations carefully.

7. EMS (Express Mail Service)

Run by China Post, EMS is a mid-range express option — faster than regular mail, cheaper than DHL. Deliveries usually arrive in 5–15 days.

✅ Includes tracking
✅ Handles larger packages (up to 30–40 kg)
💡 Good balance of speed and cost for high-value or bulk items
Example: EMS can ship to the US or Europe in about 1 week under normal conditions.

8. Private Couriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc.)

These are the fastest but most expensive shipping options. Delivery often happens within 3–7 days, with some packages arriving in 1–4 days.

✅ Premium service with full tracking
✅ Excellent for urgent orders or warehouse restocks
❗ Cost can exceed $20–$50 per shipment, often more than the product
Note: Customs taxes are more common due to faster processing and full documentation.

9. AliExpress Saver Shipping

A newer addition, this method sits between Cainiao Economy and Standard Shipping. It’s cheap or free, and slightly faster than untracked methods.

  • Delivery Time: Typically 3–6 weeks
  • Includes basic tracking
Good for small, inexpensive items when ePacket isn’t available.
Example: Delivery to the UK averages about 46 days.

Which AliExpress Shipping Method Is Best?

In my opinion, the answer to this FAQ depends on your personal needs and wants. However, from my experience, here's what I think. 👇

For fast shipping, it is recommended to opt for premium shipping methods So, I recommend you to try AliExpress Premium Shipping and EMS. These methods generally offer faster shipping times and better tracking options. While they may come at a higher cost, the quick delivery and reliability make them ideal for time-sensitive shipments.

On the other hand, for shipping to buyers, standard shipping methods like China Post or SunYou Economic Air Mail are commonly used. These methods are more affordable and usually provide reasonable shipping times, ranging from 15 to 45 days.

Also, if your target audience is based in the US, you should definitely consider ePacket as an option as well.

Why Does AliExpress Take So Long to Ship?

If you've ever felt like your AliExpress order is taking forever to arrive, you're not alone. AliExpress shipping times can sometimes feel like a marathon.

Let’s dive into the common reasons why your package might take longer than expected, along with some example scenarios to help you understand what’s really going on behind the scenes.

Remember, being aware of these factors can help you plan your purchases better!

1. Chinese Holidays

One major factor in why AliExpress shipping can be so delayed is the annual Chinese New Year. This holiday often lasts up to two weeks, and during this time, factories and warehouses across China close their doors, putting all orders on pause.

Imagine placing an order right before the Chinese New Year—your package will likely be caught in this two-week hiatus, leaving it untouched until the holiday ends.

Once everything resumes, there’s often a massive backlog of orders, which only adds to the delay.

If you’re ordering around this time, it’s essential to factor in these holiday pauses to manage your expectations on delivery.

2. Your Shipping Method Drags Delivery Down

Another major reason for long shipping times on AliExpress is the type of shipping method you select. If you’re opting for sea freight, you’ll likely be waiting weeks or even months because, unlike air transport, sea shipments are slow-moving.

Even in the best conditions, sea vessels are significantly slower than airplanes. On the other hand, certified options like AliExpress Standard Shipping can take anywhere from 10 to 45 days, while faster options like AliExpress Premium Shipping get you closer to a 5 to 10-day wait.

aliexpress standard shipping

When you choose your shipping method, you have a choice between budget-friendly but slow delivery and faster (though pricier) delivery.

3. Seller Delays: When Your Order Sits in Limbo

Sometimes, the holdup isn’t about the shipping method at all—it’s about the seller. Seller delays can occur if a product you ordered is out of stock, meaning they may need extra time to secure it before sending it your way.

Imagine you’ve ordered a popular item; the seller might be waiting for new inventory from the manufacturer or necessary materials to make your product.

While this may only cause minor delays for a single item, seller delays could disrupt your business if you’re a reseller relying on bulk orders. If you’re on a tight schedule, it’s always good to check the seller’s estimated processing time.

4. Customs Checks: Your Package Takes a Detour Through Inspection

Customs inspections can be an unexpected source of delay as your package moves between countries. Each shipment faces inspection by customs officials who ensure the contents comply with local regulations.

This inspection can add days or weeks to your wait time, especially if the package contains restricted or sensitive items.

For example, an order containing electronic devices shipped to the U.S. may undergo extra checks, delaying the estimated delivery date.

Customs processing times also vary by country, so shipping times can be unpredictable depending on the destination.

5. Shipping Method Choices Affect Delivery

Not all AliExpress shipping methods are created equal, and the option you choose will directly impact your delivery timeframe. Ordinary shipments without tracking can take anywhere from 20 to 60 days, making them one of the slower choices.

If you choose certified shipments like AliExpress Standard Shipping, the range shortens to 10 to 45 days and includes tracking.

For those who want their package sooner, private couriers such as AliExpress Premium Shipping usually deliver within 5 to 10 days.

aliexpress fast shipping

While it may cost more, it’s worth considering if fast delivery is a priority.

6. Long Distance, Longer Wait

The country of origin and destination significantly affect how long it takes for AliExpress to deliver your order. Products stored closer to your location will arrive faster.

For instance, AliExpress orders going to the United States may take anywhere from 15 to 60 days, depending on the carrier.

However, for locations farther away, expect a longer wait. AliExpress orders to South Africa can take between 9 and 59 days, with the type of carrier impacting the delivery speed. If you’re in the UK, delivery might range from 7 to 40 days, depending on how much you’re willing to pay for quicker service.

In Australia, shipping could take from 8 to 51 days, while Singapore sees deliveries in about 6 to 38 days. Choosing faster options like DHL can reduce wait time, though at a higher cost.

7. AliExpress Use and Established Connections

In countries where AliExpress is highly used, established shipping networks and systems mean faster delivery.

In locations like Spain, Italy, France, and the U.S., AliExpress has set up efficient systems that facilitate quicker delivery times, often within days.

By contrast, in countries where AliExpress is less commonly used, shipping might take longer due to fewer direct shipping channels and logistics. Knowing how well AliExpress operates within your country can help set realistic expectations for delivery times.

How To Track AliExpress Orders?

Tracking your AliExpress package is simple. To start, if you want your purchases to come with a tracking number, make sure you select a shipping option that offers online tracking.

To find your AliExpress order details, sign in to your account, go to 'My AliExpress,' and then click on 'My Orders.'

After you're in, choose the Order Number and hit 'Track Package.' You'll see the tracking number right there.

You'll get two emails: one when your order is on its way and another when it arrives. Take the tracking number from the email and enter it on a package tracking website.

Your order updates are also visible on the 'My Orders' page. As soon as your order is ready to go, you'll get a unique tracking number.

Use this number to keep an eye on your shipment's progress. AliExpress will email you updates as your package moves along its journey.

How To Choose Reliable AliExpress Suppliers in 2025?

Now, I will also show you how to find reliable suppliers on AliExpress that offer fast shipping times. Or, here's what I do.

1. Check Seller Ratings and Feedback Score

Start by looking at the seller’s overall feedback percentage and individual ratings for item accuracy, communication, and shipping speed.

In general, go for suppliers with:

  • 95% or higher positive feedback
  • Ratings of 4.7 or above across all categories
  • At least one year of selling history

This combo means the seller has a solid track record of keeping buyers happy. If the rating is under 90%, or reviews are sparse, that’s a red flag. Stick to experienced sellers with consistent performance.

Start by clicking on the seller's profile. You'll then be taken to their online shop. For a better shopping experience, it's strongly advised to explore the Feedback section.

This step allows you to gauge the seller's credibility by examining feedback and scores left by past buyers.

Customer feedback and reviews are crucial for assessing a seller's trustworthiness. If a seller has been involved in any dishonest practices, such incidents are likely to be documented in the feedback area.

Additionally, AliExpress provides a Chrome extension known as UpAssistant, designed to help you thoroughly check out sellers.

This tool offers a detailed and all-encompassing evaluation, giving you extra assurance when dealing with AliExpress suppliers.

2. Review Product Feedback and Order Volume

Product pages show how many times an item has been ordered and the average star rating.

As a rule of thumb:

  • Look for items with 4.5 stars or higher
  • Avoid listings with mixed or vague reviews
  • Read the written reviews for mentions of fast shipping or seller reliability

Buyers often share whether their package arrived on time or if the seller was responsive. That kind of insight is gold when deciding who to trust.

3. Analyze Available Shipping Options

Not every supplier offers fast or reliable shipping. Therefore, prioritize suppliers that support:

  • AliExpress Standard Shipping
  • ePacket
  • Or even DHL, FedEx, UPS, or local warehouse delivery

Also, I advise you to avoid sellers that only list “Seller’s Shipping Method” or Cainiao Economy, unless you’re okay with long delays. The more shipping choices a seller offers, the more control you’ll have to meet different customer needs.

4. Pay Attention to Processing Time

A fast shipping method won’t help if your supplier takes several days just to ship the product.
Look for:

  • Processing times are listed as 1–3 days
  • “Ships in 72 hours” or similar notes on product pages
  • Reviews from other dropshippers confirming quick dispatch

Also, check for the “Fast Shipping” badge on AliExpress. This means the seller consistently handles and ships orders without delay. Quick processing is key to reducing overall delivery time.

5. Filter by Local Warehouses or “Ships From” Options

Many top sellers in 2025 now stock products in US, UK, EU, or AU warehouses, allowing 1–7 day shipping via local services. That’s a major advantage.

On the product page, look for:

  • “Ships From: United States”, Europe, or your customer’s country
  • Or expedited lines like 4PX, YunExpress, or AliExpress Premium Shipping

You may pay a bit more upfront, but the faster delivery improves customer satisfaction and boosts repeat sales.

6. Prioritize Top Brand and Verified Suppliers

AliExpress highlights “Top Brand” sellers with a badge. These sellers often have:

  • Higher quality control
  • Better service
  • Proven track records

You may also see “Guaranteed Delivery” or “AliExpress Choice” badges. These suppliers are vetted for consistency and reliability. When in doubt, lean toward verified stores rather than unknown sellers offering suspiciously cheap deals.

7. Test the Supplier Yourself

Before going all in, place a test order. Evaluate:

  • How long it takes to ship
  • Whether the product matches the listing
  • If the packaging is neutral (important for dropshipping)

Send them a message too. If they respond within 24 hours and are helpful, that’s a great sign. Reliable communication is crucial when dealing with disputes, delayed packages, or bulk orders.

8. Check On User Experience over Forums and Communities

Diving into the world of AliExpress shopping, I took a closer look at what fellow shoppers had to say about their experiences, especially when it came to navigating the often unpredictable waters of shipping times.

My journey through various online communities, like Quora and Reddit, painted a vivid picture of the mixed bag that is shopping on this vast online marketplace.

So, based on the users' real-life examples, here's the gist of what I found out:

Shipping Times Can Be a Rollercoaster:

Many users shared stories of shipping times that took unexpected turns - some items arrived sooner than anticipated, while others took scenic routes, arriving much later than promised.

It seems like the shipping timeline on AliExpress is more of an estimate than a guarantee.

Communication is Key (But Sometimes Missing):

A common thread in the discussions was the importance of communication with sellers.

However, it's hit or miss. Some sellers are quick to respond and helpful, while others seem to vanish, especially when there are questions or concerns about delayed shipments.

Tracking - A Beacon of Hope:

For those navigating the murky waters of AliExpress shipping, tracking numbers are the lighthouse guiding them to shore.

Buyers overwhelmingly recommend choosing shipping options that provide tracking information to keep a watchful eye on your precious cargo's journey.

Patience is More Than a Virtue; It's a Requirement:

The consensus among users is that shopping on AliExpress requires an ample supply of patience.

Shipping can take time, and dealing with any issues that arise can test the patience of even the most Zen shoppers.

Doing Your Homework Pays Off:

Savvy shoppers stress the importance of reading reviews and checking seller ratings before making a purchase.

This due diligence can be the difference between a delightful shopping experience and a disappointing one.

Here's my take on it:

Embarking on an AliExpress shopping spree is akin to setting off on an adventure.

There's excitement in browsing through the endless aisles of products from around the globe, but it's wise to pack a little patience and due diligence for the journey.

Researching sellers and opting for tracked shipping can help steer your purchases safely to your doorstep.

Remember, every order is a leap of faith, but armed with insights from fellow shoppers, you're better equipped to land on your feet.

So, embrace the unpredictability, celebrate the wins, learn from the hiccups, and most importantly, enjoy the thrill of uncovering hidden gems on AliExpress.

In 2025, there are several reliable tools and browser extensions you can use to research AliExpress suppliers more effectively.

These tools help you assess seller reliability, monitor price trends, track shipping performance, and spot potential red flags before you commit to any listing. Let’s go through the most useful options and what’s still working well this year.

Alitools Shopping Assistant

Alitools remains one of the most popular Chrome extensions for AliExpress dropshippers. It's free, well-maintained, and continues to be fully functional in 2025. Alitools offers features like:

  • Product price history to see if a sale is real or just a markup trick
  • Seller rating and trust level to help you evaluate legitimacy
  • Similar product suggestions to compare alternatives
  • Promo code detection to save money during checkout

It also includes a visual price trend graph and feedback overview that help you quickly judge if a product or supplier is worth considering. For example, before listing a product, you can use Alitools to see if the price was recently raised, or if the seller has consistent positive ratings. The extension is actively updated and used by hundreds of thousands of users, making it one of the most trusted tools in this space.

Up Assistant

Up Assistant is another Chrome extension designed for serious dropshippers. It works directly on AliExpress product pages and provides:

  • Detailed seller statistics, including shipping speed and processing time
  • Price change history for transparency
  • Alternative listings from other sellers
  • Price drop alerts and basic order tracking

Up Assistant supports both aliexpress.com and the newer aliexpress.us site.

While occasional glitches may happen when the platform updates, the developers usually release fixes quickly.

One of its standout features is that it pulls processing time data from other users, which gives you deeper insight even before placing a test order. Some dropshippers pair it with Alitools to get a complete view of seller reliability and product pricing.

AliPrice

AliPrice is another extension gaining attention in 2025. It focuses on price comparison and tracking across AliExpress and other marketplaces. Key features include:

  • Real-time price history charts
  • Currency conversion for easier global sourcing
  • Quick links to same or similar items from different sellers
  • Bulk product import tools for store owners

While it doesn’t go as deep into seller ratings as Alitools or Up Assistant, AliPrice is great for finding the best price from multiple sources.

AliHunter

AliHunter is a tool aimed at dropshipping product research, but it also includes some helpful supplier-level insights. In 2025, users rely on it for:

  • Sales tracking to see how often a product is purchased
  • Estimated delivery time and fulfillment patterns
  • Top-seller filters for faster supplier discovery
  • Access to other Shopify stores selling the same item

AliHunter blends competitive research with supplier analytics, making it useful for both product scouting and sourcing decisions.

AliInsider

AliInsider is designed to give you a deeper understanding of a product’s sales potential and the reliability of sellers. Its 2025 features include:

  • Daily and monthly order volume tracking
  • Supplier reliability ratings
  • In-depth data on product popularity trends
  • Insights into average processing and shipping speed

AliInsider is especially useful for analyzing market demand before committing to a supplier, making it a great complement to more technical tools like Alitools.

Other Tools Worth Using in 2025

AliExpress Dropshipping Center

This is an official tool built into AliExpress accounts. While it’s more focused on product research and trends, it also shows logistics performance data for some listings.

It won’t replace tools like Alitools or Up Assistant, but it’s helpful for checking shipping speed estimates and hot-selling products.

Supplier Metrics in AutoDS and DSers

If you’re using AutoDS or DSers for product automation and order fulfillment, both platforms now offer built-in supplier evaluation features.

These include:

  • Estimated shipping times
  • Fulfillment reliability
  • Recommendations on which AliExpress suppliers to trust

While these are not browser extensions, they’ve become more advanced in 2025 and are useful if you’re already managing your store through these platforms.

Top AliExpress Suppliers With Fast Shipping Times For Dropshippers

AliExpress is home to thousands of suppliers, but in 2025, only a select few stand out for their speed, reliability, and dropshipper-friendly practices.

Whether you're looking for faster fulfillment, better customer service, or localized warehouses, this updated list highlights the top supplier platforms and options worth considering.

While the “best” supplier may vary by niche, the ones listed below consistently receive positive feedback, offer competitive shipping options, and integrate well with your store.

CJDropshipping

CJ is not a single AliExpress store but a full-service dropshipping partner.

It connects to AliExpress and offers direct sourcing, faster logistics, and bulk fulfillment from warehouses in China, the US, and Europe. In 2025, CJ remains one of the top-rated solutions thanks to its quality checks, custom packaging, and integration with Shopify and other platforms.

Dropshippers use CJ to ship popular AliExpress items faster than most native suppliers, often with USPS, YunExpress, or 4PX. It’s especially helpful if you need branding options or custom order management.

Spocket

Spocket focuses on suppliers in the US, Canada, and Europe, making it one of the best options for fast domestic shipping.

Products typically arrive in 2–5 days for Western customers, helping you avoid the long delivery times that come with China-based shipping.

In 2025, Spocket is still recommended for hybrid dropshipping strategies—use Spocket for quick-ship items and AliExpress for other catalog products. While prices can be higher, the faster delivery and better quality control often make up for it.

GlobalSources

GlobalOrders continues to be a solid player for handling high-volume or international orders. It may refer to a supplier network or agency that facilitates large-scale fulfillment across multiple regions.

Though it’s less known than CJ or Spocket, it’s included in many supplier lists for its strong logistics infrastructure and ability to manage bulk orders with global reach.

If you come across GlobalOrders when sourcing, it usually means a vendor that has the systems in place to ship worldwide efficiently.

Zendrop

One of the most talked-about platforms in recent years, Zendrop is designed for fast fulfillment and product sourcing beyond just AliExpress.

It integrates with your store and allows you to automatically import products, access US/EU inventory, and benefit from pre-stocked shipping.

Zendrop is favored for its dropshipper-first model, which includes better supplier selection, product quality control, and local warehousing. If you're tired of unpredictable AliExpress shipping, Zendrop offers a smoother, more premium alternative.

AliExpress Choice Suppliers

AliExpress Choice is a curated collection of products from trusted sellers—usually featuring faster delivery, free shipping options, and local fulfillment.

These sellers are hand-picked by AliExpress and often come with additional buyer protections.

Look for the "Choice" badge on listings when browsing AliExpress. It's a great filter to find reliable products that ship faster, especially in high-demand categories like fashion, home goods, and electronics.

AliExpress Alternative Solutions

Banggood

Banggood is a popular alternative solution platform to AliExpress that can significantly reduce shipping times for customers. Similar to AliExpress, Banggood offers a wide range of products, ensuring that customers have a diverse selection to choose from.

What sets Banggood apart is its emphasis on providing different shipping options and faster delivery times.

For US customers, Banggood offers Standard Shipping (7-20 working days) for free and Express Shipping (3-7 working days with a tracking number) with an additional fee.

In other parts of the world, local couriers may be available which can include FedEx, UPS, DHL, or EMS with varying shipping times depending upon your location. Thus, they also offer Standard Shipping which is usually quite fast compared to other couriers but generally without any tracking information.

For some areas, there may be other options for time-sensitive deliveries such as airmail, priority line, and local direct mail.

ChinaBrands

Introducing ChinaBrands, a viable alternative to AliExpress that offers reduced shipping times for customers worldwide. This strategic placement enables them to ship products from these warehouses, effectively minimizing waiting times and eliminating customs surcharges.

ChinaBrands' shipping options cater to the needs of customers with varying requirements. Hence, their standard shipping can range from 10-30 business days, depending on the location. On the other hand, their expedited shipping takes from 3-10 business days.

Chinabrands also offers air parcel shipping for certain destinations. The shipping time for air parcel shipping can range from 7-20 business days, depending on the location.

DhGate

DhGate offers a variety of shipping methods and options that are designed to provide fast and efficient delivery to customers.

One of the ways in which DhGate helps reduce shipping times is through its fast shipping options. For example, with DHL or UPS, the items can arrive within 3-7 business days.

DhGate also offers a selection of delivery options that cater to different needs and budgets. Customers can choose from standard shipping, which offers an affordable shipping method that is suitable for regular orders, or opt for premium shipping to receive their orders even faster.

Furthermore, DhGate has products stored in warehouses located in the US and EU, which enables faster and cheaper delivery to these regions. By having items stored locally, customers can benefit from reduced shipping times and potentially lower shipping costs.

For global delivery, the shipping times are between 3-15 working days.

Temu

Temu has quickly risen as one of the most popular AliExpress alternatives for dropshippers and resellers looking to source low-cost products with fast shipping to the U.S. and select EU countries.

What makes Temu stand out in 2025 is its aggressive pricing model and simplified logistics. Temu operates under the Pinduoduo umbrella (a major Chinese ecommerce company) and uses a centralized fulfillment model, which means it controls the shipping experience better than many traditional AliExpress suppliers.

As a result, shipping times are typically between 6–14 business days to the U.S., and often even faster depending on warehouse location and product availability.

Temu also offers free standard shipping on most items and has a transparent refund policy, making it more customer-friendly for new resellers.

Dropshippers can benefit from:

  • Lower wholesale prices than many AliExpress listings.
  • Frequent flash deals and coupons to increase margins.
  • Local U.S. and EU warehouse options, which help cut down delivery delays.
  • A growing variety of products across categories: fashion, electronics, home decor, pet supplies, and more.

While Temu does not yet offer official dropshipping integrations like DSers or AutoDS, many resellers manually fulfill orders or use CSV upload workarounds or Temu’s affiliate system. It’s especially effective for trending, impulse-buy items that perform well with fast delivery.

💡 Tip: If your store targets the U.S., test a few Temu-sourced products and compare customer delivery speed with your AliExpress results. It’s often 3–5 days faster.
