Kylie Cosmetics

Kylie Cosmetics is a well-known brand for beauty and skincare products,  by Kylie Jenner!

This e-commerce store uses one of the Custom Shopify themes. It has a great Alexa rank – 38,475 and over 806.5K visitors per month.

This dropshipping store has very user-friendly and easy navigation. In the header, there are links to the three product niches they offer – Kylie Cosmetics, Kylie Skin, and Kylie baby. Once you click the link, you are like in a whole new world, but still, have a sense that you are dealing with the same dropshipping business! Different color layouts and pleasant pastel colors, present only products from a specific niche. This design is rare to see on websites, and because of that Kylie Cosmetics are unique!

Furthermore, on the main homepage, you can see all the important elements building up the easy navigation, placed by the Z-pattern! First, the logo, serving as a link to lead customers to the homepage, then moving to the right corner, search, log in/ sign up buttons, shopping cart, and change currency.

Moving through the navigation bar, Kylie Cosmetics has a horizontal fly-out menu, with well-defined and organized categories and sub-categories, that are understandable and easy to navigate for users. Defining categories properly might be the key to successful navigation, so be careful about this matter!

The Full- Screen photo, a grid of card layout, colorized β€œShop now” buttons, and pleasant pastel layout colors, give customers a sense that they are dealing with a professional brand!

They use high-quality photos everywhere across the website. The product landing page gives a lot of additional information to users which adds value, like, multiple product photos, customer reviews, sharing products over social media, etc.

Kylie Cosmetics builds customer satisfaction by offering value-adding content, like, the information around the homepage about free shipping, discounts, Help, FAQs, their values, etc. Furthermore,  they provide an adjustable layout, allowing users to change the contrast, font and element sizes, and more as they see fit! They can also make it dyslexic-friendly.

This e-commerce store footer is also a good example. But, if you want to add additional value to customers, and boost your SEO results, you might want to add more information there. For example, adding links from your main categories, social media presence, making all the info linkable, etc.

πŸ’‘Tip: Use hover links, so you can help users navigate!
