Im in ecommerce/dropshipping space for almost 5 years.

Describe your e-commerce journey. How did you enter the space?

“I recall it was around 2016 and I was working for a business that made Smartphone covers…Most of their orders came online! Via the eShop! From this moment on, I started to think about how I too could use the web to start up my own business and, after a few sleepless nights spent on YouTube looking for a winning idea, I came across an American YouTuber relating his adventures with “Dropshipping”- I couldn’t just sit back and watch! What is the most significant challenge dropshippers are facing today?

Choose right supplier, media buying and patience. Choosing the right supplier can determine the success or otherwise of your store. Be sure to evaluate the quality of each supplier before you start selling your products. Once you have found the right supplier it is time to start studying advertising platforms, initially focus on a single platform that is google. Facebook, tiktok, or whichever one you prefer. Then, im sure the most challenge for all dropshippers today is THE PATIENCE. Especially if you are new to this world, don’t expect to get your first sales right away. You will need time to learn the advertising platforms and you will definitely need at least a few months before you start seeing the first results. I think many new entrepreneurs lack patience and give up very early.

What was the game changer to enter dropshipping or e-commerce business as a service provider? What are your future plans?

I am currently focused on one store and the goal is to get it to 7 figures then I will decide whether to make an exit or continue to scale it by expanding the team.

What’s your best advice for both dropshipping beginners and experienced e-commerce owners?

The first, and I think also the most important piece of advice is: ensure you have enough budget. You can’t expect to open a business on 100€. Don’t expect to spend less than 1000-2000 € on advertising. Below these amounts, you might be unable to clearly understand if yours is a winning product or not! You don’t need to be a pro at Facebook Ads to get results, but the more you know the less likely you are to make a loss.
